Once upon a time, we were customers like you. And we were frustrated with cheap upgrades, quick fixes, and unsustainable practices when procuring LED lighting, HVAC, solar and other energy solutions.

With backgrounds in mechanical and electrical engineering, and careers in facilities management and construction, we saw the need for a more considered and sustainable approach to energy use across our portfolios. So, guided by three core principles, we built a company to solve these problems.


1. nOT all products

are created equal


We were often sold low-cost solutions with cheap componentry requiring frequent costly replacement. And the organisations we dealt with promised replacement warranties but were unavailable or unhelpful when their products failed.

M2 provides only the highest calibre products, designed for long-term use. We guarantee exceptional quality by controlling the manufacturing processes in house and we’re so confident in our products and solutions that we offer a full 5 year replacement warranty. If it breaks, we replace it for free (including equipment hire and labour). Replacement is expensive, by eliminating middlemen in a streamlined supply chain enables us to invest in higher quality componentry that lasts longer and performs better than the industry.

 

2. One Size Doesn’t Fit All 



We often encounter sites where off-the-shelf products result in poor lighting outcomes, high maintenance costs, and unhappy clients.

Every client and building is unique. The key to a successful project is engaging all stakeholders, then designing a fit-for-purpose solution. We start by listening to our client’s needs. Then we conduct a building assessment, consult with users, and assess potential new layouts and products through our in house engineering team. Building fit for purpose solutions that are right for our clients’ needs, requires time effort and expertise

 

3. You Don’t Always Get

Most LEDs are manufactured in China. It’s a competitive environment in which manufacturers often compromise on quality. Due to a long chain of distributors, only a fraction of the cost goes towards hardware.

At M2 we are passionate about eliminating unnecessary costs and bringing real value to a project. With our locally owned manufacturing partner, M2 is uniquely positioned to deliver top quality bespoke products at competitive prices, using bulk purchasing and supply agreements. As we’re involved in the entire project, from concept to completion, we’ve been able to streamline the process and remove middlemen.

We build better products that last longer and reduce ongoing maintenance. This is a model our competitors cannot rely on.
